Unifi Packages for Home/Residential

TM offers 3 choices of UniFi Packages for home users. There are VIP5, VIP10 and VIP20. These packages are named VIP which refers to Video, Internet and Phone while the numbers indicate the download speeds.

For those who like to download songs, we've tried downloading some mp3s at average speed of 1 mp3 in 3 seconds! That was tried only using VIP5 package! Please, you can try it out yourself.

And for movie lovers, you don't have to leave your PC on for 3 days (on Streamyx) anymore. Download a Blu-Ray quality movie in 2 hours the most!

All of these UniFi packages comes with various exciting features. You will be able to enjoy free calls to TM fixed lines nationwide while calls to other numbers are charged at a flat rate of RM0.10/min! And... of course, the cordless phone is provided for free too.

As for the modem, it is WiFi ready so the whole family can benefit from this service. Besides, that's another 100 or so ringgit saved.

And... you will also be provided with a set-top-box (something like Astro decoder) for you to watch the HyppTV free channels. Some may be thinking, the free channels are sure lousy one lah... but for most household, these channels are more than enough and you can save even more by disconnecting your existing paid-TV service.

Below are some important stuff to note:

• Installation will take about 5 to 7 hours for landed buildings (terrace, semi-d, bungalow) and 2 to 3 hours for high-rised buildings (apartment, condominium, flat).
• Installation is still offered for FREE (as of 11/07/2011) - will update if there's any change.
• Minimum contract period is 24 months (if terminate before contract ends, termination fee = RM600)
• Currently, download limits are not implemented yet. That means, all packages are still unlimited. In the future, when TM starts limiting the download volume, limits will be: 60GB/month for VIP5, 90GB/month for VIP10, 120GB/month for VIP20.
